Candidate Running For State Superior Court Stops In Butler

One of the candidates for Pennsylvania Superior Court made a stop in Butler Friday afternoon.

Megan McCarthy King is an award winning prosecutor as well as the supervisor and deputy district attorney of the Child and Elder Abuse Units in Lancaster and Chester Counties.

As she explained while visiting with local leaders including County Commissioners Leslie Osche and Kim Geyer at the law firm of Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter, and Graham, she feels it is important to elect constitutional conservative judges.

“I have spent my career as a child abuse prosecutor as well as handling the elder abuse cases and I think that it’s important to have that trial abuse experience as well as an understanding of the law. I have also had experience clerking for Justice Thomas Saylor of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court so I have that appellate practice and experience as well and I think that’s a complimentary combination to make me an effective judge.”

King’s husband Richard is a Butler County native and she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of law. Megan McCarthy King is “recommended” by the PA Bar Association.
